Awards!

All conference- we were honored by the other coaches in the league with FOUR first-team all conference players this year.  I am happy to report that Gianna, Nadia, Avery, and Izzy were all first teamers.  Zoe was honored as a second team all conference player. Cameron and Olivia were both honorable mention all conference.  Amazing seasons and wonderful recognition for all of them. Well deserved.

I’m also happy to report that Gianna Weiner was unanimously chosen as the conferences offensive player of the year and the league MVP. She recently represented our program very well at a luncheon on behalf of all league MVP’s of the conference this year.

Additionally, we were honored with All-State. All four of our first team all conference players were also selected first team All-state, and Gianna was also named the CHSAA 4a state player of the year. 

I always like to remind the individual who are chosen that while these go individually to players, that these ultimately are a testament to the strength of our program, and the success of the team as a whole. There are wonderful players who get very little recognition because their team does not advanced deep into the playoffs, for instance. 

So we should all share in celebrating these awards, knowing that the team's accomplishment helped to deliver these honors.
